After tying the TV tuners to the Video Source, an error message is tripped:
Image

Quote:
Card 1 (type tuner 1) is set to start on channel
Please add, which does not exist.
Card 2 (type tuner 1) is set to start on channel
Please add, which does not exist.
Do you want to go back and fix this (these) problem(s)?

Has anyone tripped this message and solved this? I don't really understand the error message, so I don't know the corresponding corrective action. I think this is the problem that is preventing TV viewing. Thanks.

If they are digital tuners, you have to do a "scan for channels" on the "input connections" screen of the backend setup.

The PVR500 is an analog card. I tried the above suggestion and was not successful.

R6.02 was installed on a test [40GB] drive. This went well. Unfortunately when I switched to the 200GB drive, I am experiencing problems. That being said, I observed that the [40GB] PVR500 tuner was configured at:

Quote:
[mythtv@mythtv /]$ ls /dev/v4l/vid*
/dev/v4l/video0 /dev/v4l/video24 /dev/v4l/video32
/dev/v4l/video1 /dev/v4l/video25 /dev/v4l/video33

On the other hand, the [200GB] configuration had the PVR500 at:
Quote:
[mythtv@mythtv /]$ ls /dev/vid*
/dev/video /dev/video1 /dev/video25 /dev/video33
/dev/video0 /dev/video24 /dev/video32

I tried setting the [200GB] configuration to:
/dev/v4l/video0 & /dev/v4l/video1
however, this did not improve things. I am unsure why 6.02 would configure address of the tuner card to different addresses when the hard drive was replaced.

Question: should I just use the tuner path assigned by the installer?
