| Post subject: | Upgrade r5.5 to Linhes-How long should it take? |
Upgrading a r5.5 box to LINHES 6.01.00. Ran 'backup knoppmyth' from the mythtv menu. Booted to LINHES 6.01.00 CD, selected upgrade, entered network info. Has now been sitting on 'please wait is preparing for life' screen for about 4-5 hours now. Status indicator is still moving right to left, don't see any HD activity based on the HD activity light on the PC. Upgrade drive is a 1TB drive that was 84% full per mythtv delete recordings. I think I should just wait it out overnite-anything I can do to see what the upgrade process is doing? I can ping the IP of the box. (Did a raid mirror backup of the drive to a fresh drive before the upgrade so worst case I can fall back to it.) |

Yeah, it shouldn't take anywhere near that long. Probably hung somewhere, there are a couple know issues like this. Check the logs to see if the DB upgrade got stuck... |
