I have an AVerMedia AVerTVHD, MCE A180, PCI Interface, TV capture card that I have been using since early 2007 on Knoppmyth and LinHES. I tried to use the Avermedia A180 on LinHES 7.00.03 and though the card was detected correctly as a DVB card the channel detection step didn't detect any channels. The last time this happened with a SAA7134/DVB-T video capture card, the libraries hadn't been installed in the distribution when the major upgrade was built. Is there anyone that can see if this is the case in the R7.00.03 version? I tried installing version 6.04 and the channel detection part of the setup worked just fine with my card. By the way, I've been using every iteration of Knoppmyth and LinHES since the distribution started and it the heck out of everything else I've tried for ease of install and use. Thanx, |

Hello I don't have an AverMedia card, but I do have a Hauppauge HVR-2250 that presented a challenge to get it work correctly. My problem was a little different in that R7.03 couldn't detect the card So I ran this command to see what up Code: lspci -v Then I ran this Code: dmesg | grep saa7164
This command shows a lot of info about my card and let me narrow down the issue to missing firmware. Try it out for your chipset. I'm my case a firmware file fixed the problem and now it works fine. |
