I am attempting to install a back end server with the LinHES install and having issues with start up. The network log in /var/log (network.init.log) has:

Computing interface groups: .. 2 interfaces found
Starting group 0/virtual (1 interfaces)
Starting lo: 'lo' is already up SKIPPED
Starting group 1/realphys (1 interfaces)
Starting eth0: ......OK
Processing /etc/net/vlantab: empt

But the ceton card "looks" like a network interface so I "think" this count is off. The ctn0
interface comes up but the eth0 interface does not:. If I log in on the console and do an ifup etho I can get it to come up. After doing this I get the following information. (I manuall started the sshd server as well).

[root@MYTH_SERV log]# ifconfig
ctn0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 4A:0D:1F:92:09:08

I am attempting to get this srver working with a ceton card to test a new version of the card firmware with a tuning adapter and an mcard for encrypted channels. I can start things manaually but it really slows things down for testing. The ArchLinux website stuff for setting up system services does not seem to map to what LinHES is doing. I am a Fedora guy so some of this startup processing is familiar but in other places I am lost. If there is anyone who can point me to the startup processing so I can figure out how to fix this issue I would appreciate it.

The network is all controlled by etcnet.
Stuff in /etc/net will control the network configuration.

The startup process is handled by runit

/etc/sv is where all the service scripts reside. To add a service to the boot list run
add_service.sh $service name
There is no set startup order.

Ok, I guess I need to see why those are failing ... the /etc/net folder does have the eth0 stuff in it but it does not come up. The ceton card ctn0 has NO entry there and it does come up. Maybe the ceton card is taking the eth0 stuff down. Thanks for the feedback.
