remotes is not able to start, disabling it

Hi, I just upgraded to 7.04 and for some reason I have to manually run /etc/runit/lirc.sh after rebooting to get my IR blaster working. Should this not be running at boot time? Is there some place that I can add it so that it is done automatically? Thanks Victor

Check to make sure the remotes runit service is started. Code: sudo sv status remotes http://www.linhes.org/projects/linhes/w ... r-Releases

Thanks, It looks like it is down: Code: # sv status remotes down: remotes: 55180s, normally up Should I just add it as a service, or does this reveal something else that I should address first? Victor

If you were using the lircd service before R7.3 it should have started remotes for you but looks like it didn't for some reason. You should be good to add it. Code: sudo add_service.sh remotes

Thanks, This is odd: I run Code: # add_service.sh remotes remotes is already present I noticed that the logging has changed, but I can't seem to find any description of what is logged where. Any thoughts on where I need to look to find out what is stopping the service from starting? Victor

remotes/run does some limited logging to /tmp/remotes.log
