LinHES newbie question: I want to install LinHES as the second option of a dual boot with another Linux distro. The install options don't seem to offer an option of selecting the partition to install upon. I have been reluctant to proceed for fear it might overwrite my other partition. How do I do this?

I don't know that it can be done as the second installed OS. You can dual boot LinHES it's just that the installer is really simple because it this version of MythTV is intended to be an appliance not a tinker toy. I'm sure it could be done by installing on another drive then moving the partition and changing GRUB......

If you install LinHES on a second drive, all you have to do select the drive you want to boot from in the bios.

Thanks guys, for now, that is a killer for me...I use the machine as my primary desktop and the pre-existing Linux partition is critical and must be preserved.

That's were a second dedicated drive is the ideal solution. It never touches your other drive.

Is there no flexibility in the installer script to allow for a manual partitioning scheme?
