Following the R7 to R8 instructions in the wiki, I reconnected my other data drives and added them automatically. When I check /data/storage, this is what I have:

Code:
[mythtv@mythmaster storage]$ ls -la
total 8
drwxr-xr-x 6 root   root   4096 Nov 23 23:40 .
drwxr-xr-x 5 root   root   4096 Nov 23 14:43 ..
drwxrwxr-x 5 mythtv mythtv   44 Nov 23 14:43 disk0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root   root     43 Nov 23 23:40 disk1 -> /data/storage/SAMSUNGSP2514N_S08BJ1HL345244
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root   root     33 Nov 23 23:40 disk2 -> /data/storage/ST3500630A_9QGA06YL
drwxrwxr-x 5 mythtv mythtv   40 Dec  1 00:32 SAMSUNGSP2514N_S08BJ1HL345244
drwxrwxr-x 5 mythtv mythtv   40 Dec  1 04:31 ST3500630A_9QGA06YL
drwxrwxr-x 5 mythtv mythtv   44 Nov 23 14:43 WDCWD1001FALS-00J7B1_WD-WMATV1509443

Note disk0 isn't a symlink like disk1 and disk2 are. However, if I go through the subdirectories of disk0, I see they have identical data as /data/storage/WDCWD1001FALS-00J7B1_WD-WMATV1509443. I also get duplicate results when searching for files that show up on both disk0 and WDCWD1001FALS-00J7B1_WD-WMATV1509443. It seems like these drives are actually linked some other way that's not obvious to me.

There's not an error here; I'm just trying to understand how this new system works.

Yes it is correct. disk0 is a bind mount to the data (sdx7) partition of the boot drive. I am not sure why it is a bind mount vs a symlink.

Looks fine... it used to be that UUID was for device. Now that changed and it's UUID by partition.

That increases the size of FSTAB

This command displays a good overview

Code:
BLKID
