Hi, I looking to finish configuration and fine tuning for a new setup with R8 and two PVR-350's recording from 2 Dish receivers. I am using a serial ir-blaster with dual emitters. The dish receivers have been configured with remote ID's 1 and 2 and need to respond to Dish1 and Dish2 in lidcd.conf which appears to be properly setup. How do I configure things for the remote channel change scripts for this setup? remote - none transmitter - serial ir-blaster thanks Scott |

Still no luck with my ir-blaster Is there some things I could try to get things working? The PVR 350 card is working and I can watch live tv, but I cannot get the serial ir-blaster working. I believe I have set everything properly in the remotes section. Any tips are appreciated. Thank you, Scott |

The first thing I would verify is that the blasters are working with irsend. To send the number 4 try this line. 4 must be defined in lircd.conf and name_or_remote should be changed out for whatever the name is used in lircd.conf irsend SEND_ONCE name_of_remote 4 To verify that the transmitter is transmitting watch it through a camera (like your cell phone). When transmitting you should see it briefly flash a bit of light. After that the script /usr/LH/bin/change_channel.sh could be used as base for whatever custom script required. |
