I am in the UK installing LinHES 8.5.2 with a Hauppauge WinTV card to use with FreeSAT. The LinHES 'Channel Scanner' 'Tuning' display shows nothing for signal/noise and signal strength. I did think that I had a cable fault but I have put an analog signal strength meter inline between the card input and the wall socket and set it to 'scream' mode on it's speaker when the signal is good. When LinHES tries a channel scan my little analog meter screams very loudly to acknowledge that there is a good signal on the wire but LinHES says it couldn't find anything. I can tell when LinHes is opening and closing the adapter from the sound of my meter being off, then on during tuning, then off again when the following error is displayed.

Code:
Programmer Error: Failed to handle tune complete

Does someone have a LinHES channel data set for the UK that I can try to import instead?

I have two WinTV cards. The intention is to use both, but for now setup on one. They both give the same error.

It's been a while since I have tuned a MythTV system. I left it a few days before going back to it then I spotted what I was doing wrong.

I used Lyngsat for information on the frequency to use for the channel scan and I realised that the published frequency of 10964 for UK Channel 5 should actually be entered as 10964000 in MythTV channel scanner. It works now.
