I'm trying to install the above mentioned usb tuner following method a from http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/T ... gy_T_Stick

I have to personalize the Makefile by indicating locations for kernel source, headers and module:

#### CONFIGURE THE FOLLOWING LINES
#the precompiled kernel headers
KDIR = /usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.30-1-686
#the unpacked kernel source
KSRC = /usr/src/linux-source-2.6.30
#where the modules will be installed
KINSTALL = /lib/modules/linux-2.6.30-1-686/misc
#### END OF CONFIGURABLE LINES

I installed the kernel header package but I can't seem to find the kernel source. I have some stuff under /usr/src/linux-2.6.28-LinHES but I don't think it's a complete kernel source (I even tried to compile, but it immediately stopped).

I also don't know where should I install the module. Following the example, I would expect a misc directory under /lib/modules/linux-2.6.28-LinHES , but there's no such directory.

Any suggestions?

Post subject:  Re: TerraTec Cinergy T Stick

I installed a standard kernel source (2.6.28 if I remember correctly) and then I managed to compile the driver.

I then discovered that there are two versions of TerraTec Cinergy T Stick; the procedures in linuxtv wiki works for the first version; but version 2 (id 0ccd:0097 http://www.terratec.it/prodotti/schede_ ... MKII.shtml) doesn't seem to be supported by linux at the moment. The two versions are externally identical.
