After reading the above site and checking R7. It appears that the firmware and zilog module are already present.

I am stuck on how to configure the transmit part to enable the hdpvr blasting. Anyone able to help explain this setup?

A little bit of a diversion but I have been changing channels on the STB connected to my HDPVR with firewire for 6 months and it has been rock solid. If you system has a firewire output or at least an open card slot to add a cheap firewire card, I would highly recommend it.

OK. I just switched to cable from satellite (great deal). It appears that my firewire port is disabled, so back to some sort of blasting.

After extensive googling, it appears that hdpvr blasting is not super reliable when it works. However, I would love to be proven wrong!

Would be good if it worked, but I found out that mceusb now does blasting. That works for me!
