Trying and failing to use this remote on Arch Linux. I know you guys have it figured out for LH and was wondering if you can point in the right direction? My preference is to use the kernel module. If this is the method you use, I'd be pleased to see the relevant config files.

Thanks!

I assumed that was handled by mythVantage in LinHES

I have this remote in a box somewhere but have not used it. I believe you have a choice currently to use either the in-kernel driver or Lirc. For the in kernel driver, I believe you may have to remap some of the keys to get it to work properly with X perhaps with .xmodmap. For the in-kernel on Arch I'm guessing you may have to compile your own driver.

I wrote up an architectural view for the remotes in the wiki which may be useful: http://linhes.org/projects/linhes/wiki/ ... tomization

I noted in the mythtv wiki that there are procedures for other distros for in-kernel which may give you some clues: http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/ATI_Remote_Wonder

I realize you are not using LinHES but the remote packages on LinHES should also give you some hints.

Hope that helps get you started in the right direction.

Like a normal size warehouse or a Warehouse 13 warehouse?
:D

I guess I was thinking that you could just install mythvantage all by it's self. Since I've never actually looked at it I don't know that to be true at all.
