So, I have this old netbook, and I'd like to set it up to do all the PVR functions with a USB webcam, and not the usual TV connection. How do I do this? Is it possible with this software? This is going to be used as a revolving monitor for a gymnastics school, so kids can do something and see what they did 30 seconds later. I've seen this done with hacked tivo units and older video cameras, but this smaller hardware would give more flexibility.. Any thoughts appreciated. |

Do you already have a specific webcam in mind? You probably looking for http://www.zoneminder.com/ and the Mythtv Plugin http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/MythZoneMinder to use a webcam. If it is a network camera you can probably record the stream using this method http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/User_Manual: ... g_Recorder I remember that LinHES does have some sort of support for Zoneminder but I can't find it right now. |

Zoneminder is included with the LinHES distribution. You install it using the LinHES additional software section. |
