I'm having an intermittent problem where I turn on the TV and it reports there's no signal coming from the mythbox. The TV and video card have been connected with a DVI-HDMI cable for years, and as far as I remember this has never happened before. My first thought was screensaver, but that's set to none, and the keys/remote commands don't wake it up.

From my desktop I can connect via VNC and view the frontend without trouble. Rebooting or restarting the frontend both cause the signal to appear again on the TV, but I'd prefer not to have to do either.

I'm not sure where to start troubleshooting this. The box is connected DVI-HDMI-Denon Receiver-Samsung TV. The receiver is on the correct input, and changing settings on it (switching away from and back to TV, for example) doesn't wake up the signal. Where else should I be looking?

First step is always "unplug it and plug it back in" in this case I refer to every VIDEO cable from snout to tail. It probably won't fix it but it's the easiest and quickest test for some random corrosion that might have developed.
I was having a similar problem with my old TV where If the power went out while the amp and TV were turned off it would get nothing from an EDID request and thus output nothing, until I restarted the Frontend using "alt F".
