Post subject:  Stop IVTV warnings when using PVR-350 TV out

After upgrading to R5C7, I noticed lots of IVTV warnings:
Quote:
Jul 2 19:15:56 mythtv kernel: ivtv0 warning: prep_user_dma: SG_length 336 page_count 336 still full?
Jul 2 19:15:56 mythtv kernel: ivtv0-osd warning: ivtvfb_prep_dec_dma_to_device, Error with get_user_pages: 262144 bytes, 336 pages returned
Jul 2 19:15:56 mythtv kernel: ivtv0-osd warning: Error: prep osd dma to device rc=-5
Jul 2 19:15:56 mythtv kernel: ivtv0-osd warning: DMA xfer from b7b6c008 of 262144 bytes failed with (-5) offset = 0x47000, total 552960

These four lines kept repeating over and over. They apparently have something to do with the PVR-350's TV out. I noticed the warnings sometimes coincided with a flicker on the screen during playback and the flickering would also happen whenever I moved the mouse. I disconnected the mouse and haven't had a warning or flicker since.

recompile your kernel to be non-smp and see of it clears up the issue. I had the same
thing at one point and that fixed it. It does not matter if you have don't more than
one cpu or not.. I put up a howto on the recompile
