I was searching for the database location for mysql, which cesman pointed to /var/lib/mysql. In addition, I found the schema at:

And for those looking to delete a channel(s) from the database, check out:

Without going through all that trouble or knowing where the database is on the system (even from the command line that shouldn't be necessary), just use the WebMin interface for easy access.

If you're really good, you can have a great experience if you install SqlMyAdmin (or is that mySQLAdmin -- whatever). It's simple to install. I haven't done so yet on my Myth box, but I'm planning on doing it when I do my reinstall next weekend or so.

I've not read the schema, but if you read the table numbers and look at the table data, you'll be able to figure out a lot of it.

you can use the Mythweb interface.

Go to Settings -> channels. check teh 'delete' box for any channel you want deleted and press 'save'

As they say in the commercial 'That was Easy' :)

Thanks for the input, my search to find information of where the database llocation was, was to copy the recorded information database files from a corrupt myth install to a new install instead of manually entering each recorded program and came arcoss a few web pages I thought would be of interest.

I like to use phpMyAdmin... easy to install, great for tweaking broken DB entries for channels when using DVB.
