Post subject: | Broken/Missing link to XvMCNVIDIA Libs |
I'm seeing this when I run mythfrontend from a terminal and run a dvd for playback while my system is set for XvMC mode: Code: XvMCWrapper: Could not load hardware specific XvMC library "/usr/X11R6/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1". /usr/X11R6/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory and I've found those libs to be living in /usr/lib: Code: root@mythtv:/usr/lib# find . -name "libXvMC*"
./libXvMC.a ./libXvMC.so ./libXvMC.so.1 ./libXvMC.so.1.0.0 ./libXvMCW.a ./libXvMCW.so ./libXvMCW.so.1 ./libXvMCW.so.1.0.0 ./libXvMCNVIDIA.so.1.0.8776 ./libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1 ./libXvMCNVIDIA.so.1 What would be the best way to fix this and has anyone else noticed this problem? I did some soft links to the right place which makes things happier for now... but was wondering if there was a better way. -Ben |

The fix is well documented. See this thread http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=13108 Search for "xvmc". |

Duh. Thanks. So much to read (for just and upgrade). It's overwhelming. -Ben |

Just think how much harder it is to gather all that and assemble it into an (even semi) coherent form. That's why there's still so much stuff down in the trailing posts which hasn't been folded back into the main post. |
