Post subject:  Asus A8N-SLI Crash problems solved (Sort of)

Originally my KM box (Running R5F27) finally gave up the ghost, following the Video card going (it would not fire up using the nVidia drivers), the motherboard finally give up the ghost with the network going and the system generating memory errors after a crash.
I Replaced the existing motherboard & processor with a Asus A8N-SLI and an Athlon64, after cleaning up the case and ensuring everything seems to be seated OK, I fired the machine up, everything seemed to work OK, but soon crashed, after rebooting, It crashed again. This was almost at the same time after boot up.
So after disconnecting the HDDs, and removed the capture cards (2x Nova-T 500s and a PVR-350), booting up with a KM CD everything seemed OK.
I Then shut the machine down and tried various combinations of drives and Capture cards, Seeing how long it took to lock up.
I Found that, somehow with both Nova-Ts installed, the machine would lock up.
A symptom would be the LEDs on the Nova-Ts would be flickering.
So I had to run with a Single Nova-T, PVR-350, and a WinTV Theatre,
The removed Nova-T was installed in a Deskpro EN along with R5F27 and it worked very well.
I then purchased a Nova-T 500 which after an upgrade to R5.5 along with the Nova-T worked OK for sometime.
In the recent heatwave I noticed the machine was crashing again, with the same LED Flickering effect on the Nova-T in the main KM box, a reset would not clear the problem fully, only a power off. would ensure a clean reboot.
Removing that Nova-T solved the crashing problem.
So from the from the original motherboard problem, these cards were damaged in some way or there is some weird interaction with the Nova-T and this other motherboard.
