Problem: MythTV backend and frontend worked fine for weeks. Then, suddenly mythbackend started but died within a few seconds (maybe 5 - 10 sec). Solution: I found a file /myth/tv/nfslockfile.lock and deleted it. This thread helped me to find it out: http://pvrguide.no-ip.com/bbs-old/viewtopic/9117.html Hope this helps someone. It seems to be related to NFS. I have mythbackend and mythfrontend on separate boxes using NFS shares to allow mythfrontend to access files on mythbackend. However, I didn't try to find out, how and why this file was created and why it caused mythbackend to die within a few seconds after its start. Maybe others have an idea? |
