Just a word of warning for those upgrading: If you have mame roms sorted by genre, the mythgame interface gets confused, and won't display any of them. It's a bug, and it's mentioned on the mythtv users list. Anyway, I find searching here gets answers to almost every problem, so I'd try to give back. The tip is: Remove genre from the sorting tree in your game general settings, and everything's copacetic. Cheers. |

| Post subject: | Mythgame genre bug |
First, thanks for the tip! After doing that I finally got mythgame to launch some games. I'm using R5A26. But then a friend told me found that he had the same problem, and it was because his catver.ini file was full of DOS line-ending characters (^Ms). I found mine was too. I removed the ^Ms with vi, and and now mythgame displays all the roms correctly, even if genre is in the sorting tree. Although ironically, I don't care about genre and prefer to leave that out anyway
