Post subject:  How To Force Your Videos to 4:3 in MPlayer

I took some of the cartoons that I have and compressed them. However, when I went to view them, MPlayer showed in a 16:9-ish size since the resolution wasn't exactly 4:3. To force MPlayer to do 4:3 you can go to Setup, Video Manager, Find the Video, press the right cursor, enter Edit Metadata, and in Unique Player you can put "mplayer -aspect 4:3 -fs"

If you have a number of the same video, you can connect to that box with MySQL Control Center and run the following SQL command.

Code:
UPDATE videometadata
SET playcommand="mplayer -aspect 4:3 -fs"
where title like "%NAME OF TV SHOW%"

Make sure you back up your database beforehand as you can mess it up if you don't do this properly.
