My system started dropping frames every 15 seconds or so during recordings. I was also getting thousands of "ivtv: Not enough free buffers, stream 0" errors. Apparently the recordedmarkup table was corrupt. Running the following command fixed the problem: mysqlcheck -r -u root mythconverg The command can be run by the mythtv user.
