Hi!

Now I'm without any idea how this can happen (and cannot find something here)

I can reach my mythtv with ping, mythweb works, vnc works etc.

But no "www" adress or grabbing or mythweb. etc. myth cannot find anything outsite

Hardware:
Router (linux "fli4l") - works since months, nothing changed, worked before with mythtv ...

Connected via switch - cable is checked (and works fine internal...)

ifconfig:
Code:
sit0      Protokoll:IPv6-nach-IPv4
          inet Adresse:192.168.123.111  Maske:255.255.255.0
          inet6 Adresse: ::127.0.0.1/96 Gltigkeitsbereich:Unbekannt
          inet6 Adresse: ::192.168.123.111/96 Gltigkeitsbereich:Kompatibilitt

          TX packets:0 errors:2 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          Kollisionen:0 Sendewarteschlangenlnge:0
          RX bytes:0 (0.0 b)  TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)

root@mythtv:/home/mythtv# ifconfig eth0
eth0      Protokoll:Ethernet  Hardware Adresse .....snippsnapp...
          inet Adresse:192.168.123.111  Bcast:192.168.123.255  Maske:255.255.255.0
          inet6 Adresse: fe80::240:33ff:fee2:5e3b/64 Gltigkeitsbereich:Verbindung
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST  MTU:1500  Metric:1
          RX packets:62648 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0

          RX bytes:3831472 (3.6 MiB)  TX bytes:176132170 (167.9 MiB)

Sounds like you're routing is messed up or you are missing a default gateway. Try 'route' from the command line - what does this say?
Your default gateway should be the ip address of your router on the 192.168.123.0 subnet - maybe 192.168.123.1?

If your myth box is getting its ip address dynamically (via dhcp) it should know this automatically. If you set it up with a static ip address you may not have configured this right?

also check /etc/resolv.conf and make sure it has the correct dns entry in it.

Hi,

As root, just re-run netcardconfig , use dhcp, then retry a "www", if that doesn't work repeat only select manual and put in your own information. I simply use the gateway as a dns and let it do the work.
