I installed Knoppix 5.0 from the live CD & haven't encountered that many problems yet, but there are a few. Will hopefully be able to install KnoppMyth at a later date. The first one is that when it boots up, it has to stop and create id.so.cache & modules.dep; how do I make these permanent fixtures of the HD install ? The second thing is probably pretty simple, I'm sure I'm just getting the syntax wrong or something, but when I click on the floppy icon on the desktop, I get a message stating that media/fd0 wasn't found in fstab or mtab; I can see the way a CD drive is done, but the floppy doesn't seem to like this. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks. |

Knoppmyth actually isn't based on knoppix. Knoppmyth uses debian unstable. |

Yes, I understand; I'm downloading the latest build with jigdo right now. 'Don't know what the deal is, but I've tried downloading using torrents and just straight downloaded iso's and I keep getting bad checksums, so I went the suggested route, but it's been running all night. It's really pretty neat when you get into it. |
