Post subject:  Alignment problems burning recorded TV to dvd

I'm running R5D1 and using a PVR-250 card to capture TV. When I burn a DVD from the MythTV interface, it burns fine. My actual problem is the appearance on the TV. When I play the DVD on my TV through a Toshiba DVD player, the picture off center. It appears that the picutre is shifted to the left for about 25% of the screen. A black line appears in the picture which I suspect should align with the right side of the TV. How can I fix my recordings so that they play properly on a regular dvd player?

Update: I'm not sure what I changed or where I changed it but my picture issues has changed to where I can only see the top half of the picture and the bottom half changes between pink and green. I did notice that the burn process previously had a resolution of 480x480 when the picture was off center. Now the burn resolution is 352x480. I'm pretty sure that these numbers should be different but I'm not sure if it will solve the problem and I'm not sure where to change the value.

The "video basics" line is the one I suspect to be a problem. I have changed the default value of Recording Profiles to 720x480 but the "video basics" line still reports 352x480. Is the a problem with ivtv and my capture card? Or a problem with my configuration?
Any help would be appreciated.
