I love KnoppMyth. You put a cd in your computer's drive and a few minutes later you have a dedicated DVR machine. Then there's other projects like TrixxBox for Asterisk, etc. All great stuff. I am looking for something similar for MAME. I want to turn a computer into a MAME for an arcade cabinet. I have searched around and come up empty handed. Right now I am running GXMAME on Ubuntu, but that doesn't seem like it will work well for a cabinet setup... Does anyone here know what I'm looking for? Maybe no one has created it? |

There is KnoppixMAME, it has been around as long as KnoppMyth if not longer. I don't know it's current status... Google is your friend. |

Yeah, I tried Google and SourceForge, I just didn't find anything that fit exactly what I was looking for. The problem with KnoppMame is that it is intended to only be a LiveCD, not a permanent install... |

If knoppix-installer is on the CD, then you can install it... You can always read up on remastering Knoppix and build your own... |
