I have sucessfully installed KnoppMyth after overcome many problems. I have newest ATI driver installed. Now, my computer (Athlon 64, video card ATI X300) runs mythTV very well when I connect it to a old 21 inch CRT montor, HDTV is smooth. Now, I try to connect it to my Toshiba RPTV (51HC85) via DVI to HDMI cable. This setup works under Windows. And I have ATI caytalyst to output it to 1080i and 720p sucessfully under windows. I tried several modelines found online. Before X starts, there is no output on my TV, not even lilo screen (but I set vga=normal). Ater X starts, I can see the frontend menu on the TV screen. However, when I choose WatchTV, the OSD will come up first, then the screen blinks (trying to display the video), but then goes blank, then after a few seconds, X will start again, with the frontend load again. So it seems that the mythTV was unable to display certain resolution and exits.

I can select watch previous recordings, it seems that I got the video captured correctly. When I select those video clips, the preview window plays correctly. However, when I try to play them, I got the same issue. The screen blinks and X restarts.

I am wondering how to solve this issue. Is that modeline issue? But I can display the frontend correctly, although I am not sure at what resolution does it display(I set it at 1080i). Is there anyone who have the same issue?
