Stumbled across this today.

http://lircconfig.commandir.com

Basically this site is a frontend web GUI to configure the lirc files. You have to sign up to use the service which then manages your remotes and is in beta, but looks like a good product. There is also some stuff for channel changing and other device script. Is similar to the stuff talked about in these 2 topics.

Worth a look IMO.

Has anyone signed up? If so, what information is required and what's the process once signed in?

The remote code listing looks like an extremely limited subset of LIRC's supported remote controls.

I have, only required info is email address, username, and password.

They don't send you any confirmation email to your address so could use a dummy email account to check it out.
