Hi,
I am running a website form my mythbox. Mythweb is running on the default port 80. The other website is running on 8080.

I want to reverse this thing. I want mythweb to run on port 8080 and my website to run on port 80.

How do I do this permanently?

Thanks

Hi,

Don't know about your website but you can change the port in R5F1 in the /etc/apache2/ports.conf or if in R5C7 try /etc/apache/httpd.conf

That is one of the first things I do is move it from 80.

Mike

In /etc/apache2/ports.conf what port should I define which does not conflict?
and I could not find :/etc/apache2/httpd.conf
There was one httpd.conf under /etc/apache2/ but was empty..

I made this change to my R5F1 system

Code:
mythtv:~$ cat /etc/apache2/ports.conf
Listen 8080

then of course...

Code:
/etc/init.d/apache2 restart

Hi,

You didn't read carefully,

in R5F1 in the /etc/apache2/ports.conf
or
in R5C7 try /etc/apache/httpd.conf

If you are using 8080 then use 8082,or3or4 but not 8081
Port 8081 is for motion.

khrusher shows exactly what to do for R5F1.
