i didnt really mean to but i just removed my mythweb .htaccess file. i know its dumb. can you please suggest the easiest way to restore the default .htaccess for it

that would work and ill try that if i have too. but a easier way would be if someone could just post or past the default .htaccess file from their mythweb directory for me please. sorry i have to ask but its a easy fix if someone could please just post the contents of their .htaccess file as long as they have made no changes

That's not what you originally asked. You asked for the easiest way to get it back. I gave you the answer. If you were meaning to say, "I want to be lazy and not work at fixing my mistake, so can someone please post a default .htaccess file?" you should have asked that. :evil:

1) This isn't really an "installation" question, especially as Cecil defines them. Expect him to "terminate this thread with extreme prejudice".

2) You can also mount the CD as described on this wiki page: http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=MountImage This is a very useful and general technique to know, and it's dead easy.

cloop is not yet supported in newer kernels but i guess i can try mounting it on my mythtv

sudo cp theCloopImage/etc/mythtv/mythweb-htaccess /var/www/mythweb/.htaccess
worked
