There is also a wealth of information at:
http://www.linuxquestions.org

There are some tutorials, but also forums with a lot of answers. When I first started using linux I spent hours there every day.

Hi,

Also when "googling" around, I usually preface the search with the word linux which helps filter out a lot of trash. Try something like [ linux video editor ] with and without the the word linux in the search.

Often you can find some good used older linux books for a buck or two. The basic syntax doesn't change that much over the years.

You can actually search for just linux pages by going to http://www.google.com/linux
