During recent set up I had an error and nothing was mounted /myth. Some files got saved to /myth/tv when nothing was mounted to myth. Now that I fixed fstab I can't access those files that to delete them. I know this is confusing. Any suggestions.

Log in as root and make sure no recordings are coming up
  • killall mythfrontend
  • /etc/init.d/mythtv-backend stop
  • umount /myth
  • rm -f /myth/tv/*
  • mount /myth
  • /etc/init.d/mythtv-backend start

Use alt-m to start the frontend. Be very careful because you could erase all of your recordings.

Wouldn't you want to save these recordings? It will lead to db inconsistency if you don't.

Depending on the disk space available, I would move them rather than deleting, then put 'em back into /myth/tv after it's been remounted.
