Hi to all, i have surfed the web to find project like this! Linux tv is cool! I thinked so that exist in the world people that want to share their knowledges to build a set top box based on linux. Now I'm Gabriele from Italy. I have studied comunication Rome and do a study for my degree about the gui of digital tv. "I have a dream" i'd like to create new set top box based on linux and gui developed on joomla. All open, all creative commons, all to share and, fow whom who wants to earn, to sell. i think a system under Centos (is the same of Rhel 5 enterprise and it is free). apache php and mysql installed. Joomla with a dedicated template to enhance tv on dsl. Not pci card to install, nothind acquisition card to install. And a remote, builded ad hoc, to comand the gui...
