Post subject:  copy files to mpg?

is there any way to copy the files from what I have recorded off of live tv to my computer and then convert them to mpg? thanks for any info..

at the command prompt type nuvexport, its pretty simple to figure out

If you're using a PVR-250 or -350, they're already MPEG2 files. If you want MPEG1 instead, then use nuvexport as recommended.

which option is the best compression and will export to a .mpg file?

what are you wanting to do with them that it has to be an .mpg file? If the purpose is to burn to dvd for playing in dvd player then you have to leave them at mpeg2, and you might as well rename them. If you are wanting the smallest file for backup or putting on cd then you should probably use xvid or divx which I belive is usually .avi, but can still be played by most computers.
