following a crash (due to a powercut) My knoppmyth box has developed an annoying habit

Before X kicks in the keyboard is fine, but once X has started then the keyboard often doesn't work.

I disabled the xkb rules, as a google search indicated that as a possible cause.

Does anybody have any ideas, or know what packages I need to remove and reinstall for it to work again.

i had that problem to.. i changed to a different keyboard and it went away..
sorry i dont have a better fix..but somebody else might.
