| Post subject: | R5A15 green blocks after installing nvidia drivers |
I get green blocks whenever I exit X after installing the nvidia drivers (install-nvidia-xxxx-debian.sh) on R5A15. My video card is a GeForce TI4200 and I believe I installed the nvidia drivers correctly on the R4V5 without a problem, but for some reason everytime I exit X on R5A15 with the nvidia drivers installed all I get is green blocks. I tried both scripts that were available 6xxx and 7xxx and currently am using vga, not TV out to configure. Everything seems to work fine if I don't install the nvidia drivers. |

edit lilo.conf and change vga=791 (or something like that) to vga=normal then run lilo -v then reboot should fix you right up. The problem is that nvidia drivers don't like the framebuffer. |

Thanks! That actually fixed two problems I had, initially I thought the text was too small to see on the TV with the default size, now I can read it and configure it with a TV. Will try running the box for a week and then moving on to installing a wireless card (DLink 520--should work with madwifi). |
