Hey Ces.. maybe you can point me in the right direction as well.
I know ide-scsi was removed and that cdrecord supports ATAPI cdrecording now, but MythMusic doesn't seem to buy it and I see no way to force it.
I had a DVD ROM in the box until tonight when I changed to a DVD ROM / CD RW drive.
cdrecord -scanbus dev=/dev/hdc picks up the device properly:
