NVIDIA Linux Display Driver 1.0-7664 was released.

Didn't see any tv related fixes listed in the release notes, but considering they knew about the 1080i problem here's hoping it's fixed. I'll give it a go before too long and report back.

For those that are gamers one interesting update is the inclusion of opengl 2.0

Well tested, and while it seems to work fine 1080i still results in a split screen.

Ah well, thank you very much for trying it for me. I guess it's another typical nVidia driver... Sure wish they could make one BETTER instead of worse each time.

That's not quite fair, it does seem like they always break somthing, but they also usually fix at least a few more things than they break.. ;-)

Well, if your high-def TV looks like this:

It's hard to detect any of the subtle "improvements" in the driver!

Oddly enough, I posted a link to my picture in the nVidia forum but no one there cared enough to respond. I gave up after awhile. I don't know if they really take any inputs from civilians there.

well I find it odd I have seen several issues get quick action over on the nvidia forums, but numerous people have posted about this issue, and it's gotten absolutely 0 response from anyone at nvidia, like they are blind to those threads. I guess they just don't care about hdtv and have decided to not look at anything they don't care about.

has anyone sent one or for that matter many emails to their support address? maybe if they get several emails there they will listen, but I don't hold out too much hope.
