Hey everyone,
About a week ago I upgraded my IVTV driver (from 0.3.6f to 0.3.6p) due to DMA problems with my PVR-500 (D492) and have since been unable to get the audio to work. I've tried rebuilding the kernel, rebuilding the Alsa driver, MythTV, etc. At first I thought the issue was specific to MythTV, but have since noticed that it happens anytime I even try to cat the device to a file or /dev/null. I am just plain stumped and now I'm beyond the level of my expertise. I've done a lot of searching and have not been able to find anyone with a similar issue. The machine is an P3 Coppermine with a 440BX chipset running gentoo on kernel 2.6.11-r9 and this is it's dmesg output:
