Thanks for that. I've done a bit of reading, but I still don't really understand the difference between a cloned display and two screen definitions. Could you please explain?

Clones are the same resolution, color depth, ... What you see on one you see on the other... Seperate screens can have seperate detailed configs, resolution, depth, ... The "read me" file in the NVidia stuff describes this (or used to anyway) pretty well. The bottom line is that to support this you need two seperate specifications in the config and thus two screen sections.

OBTW - you can find the readme in - /usr/share/doc/NVIDIA_GLX-1.0/README

Oh, and what should I make of the
Code:
(WW) NVIDIA(0): Bad V_BIOS checksum

Ooooo... I've never seen that one but I'd have to guess that it's NOT good.

Thanks for your help. Well, I googled some more, and found some guys
who have the same error, yet no one seems to have any really serious
problems with their cards. I'm not aware of any problems with mine either
for that matter.

Who the heck would have thought to read a file named
"nvidia-GLX-1.0/README". Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out when I come
back home from work.
