| Post subject: | Knoppmyth Mythtv/Mysql Configuration files |
Could some one tell me what configuration files i could copy from Knoppmyth to my other OS so that i could use the configuration files that Knoppmyth generates? I'm currently using Gentoo and the only problems i had were getting the Mysql/Mythtv to work so if some one could tell me where the files are i could in theory copy them over just fine. Or if some one could tell me how to configure the Kernel in Knoppmyth and the Sound for 2 sound cards. Then that would work also. Thanks in advance, the w3b |

wow.. thats an interesting question, but ALOT to ask in a forum.. Your best bet it to get mysql working in gentoo. not to copy files from knoppmyth. http://www.mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-6.html i have no idea what version of mysql gentoo uses.. 3? 4 ? beta 5? assuming your using mysql 3ish setup is really easy.. |

You really need to find out why it isn't working on Gentoo (or better yet, use KnoppMyth). Dumping the db from KnoppMyth and importing it on Gentoo really isn't going to help. Perhaps is you state exactly what isn't working (errors, etc.), folks can help you figure it out... |
