Post subject:  MPEG Sequence

Hi all,
I need to edit my recordings in AviDemux2, but it can't handle MPEG Sequence, but only MPEG Sequence system multiplex (AFAIK).
If i "file" my Nuvs, i get (example):
1001_20050708200500_20050708210500.nuv: MPEG sequence
If i convert by ffmpeg in this way: ffmpeg -i 1001_20050708200500_20050708210500.nuv -vcodec mpeg2video -ab 192 VIDEO.mpeg, and i "file" VIDEO.mpeg, i get:
VIDEO.mpeg: MPEG sequence, v1, system multiplex

VIDEO.mpeg is editable by Avidemux2.
Does exists other/faster ways to convert MPEG2 non indexed to MPEG2 indexed?

Help needed...

P.s. My recordings was made by Hauppauge Nova-T; MPEG2 DVB-T

I've been using avidemux to edit pvr-250/350 recordings for quite some time and haven't ever had to do anything special to open the .nuv files.

Make sure you're running the latest version of avidemux, which is currently at 2.0.40

well pvr cards and hdtv cards capture in standard mpeg2 so anything that can read mpeg2 should be able to open the file, however bttv cards capture in either RTJPEG or some form of MPEG4 which doesn't seem to be at all standard.
