When I use the command line, I like to see files colored by type. In the /etc/profile file, the following line makes the ls command colored:
Code:
alias ls="ls --color=auto"

The problem is, this doesn't work for the mythtv user, even though the .bashrc file is the same for user mythtv as it is for root. It works correctly for root and for the user I created, but not for user mythtv. Any ideas?

Thanks
Mark
