hi all New to forums, New to linux and Knoppmyth but sucessfully installed Knoppmyth R5A16 on my HD on old system ASUS CUSL2-C Intel P3 1ghz 512 ram NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX400 Hauppauge PVR-150 I built a new system using the HD from the old system along with the capture card. New system specs are: Soltek K8-AN2E-GR AMD Sempron64 2800+, 512ram NVIDIA GeForce MX4000 I had some problems with the Nvidia splash screen freezing the machine, I installed the newer nvidia 7xxx display driver included within knoppmyth. I then made into the Myth interface. Here is my questions I am not able to fill database with program information, or wget anything...seems as though its not seeing my network card? I had to hook up my ps2 keyboard rather than my usb keyboard. Is that a motherboard driver issue?? I have researched the driver, looks like a new release of the nforce chipset drivers and also a new display driver. I also read known problems with the chipset driver, so I am hesitant to install since I am still very new with linux. Any ideas? TIA |
