Hi friends: Well, I'm settling into the goodness that is R5A22, tuning things as I go. My biggest problem is that I can't seem to get TV-OUT to work. I've taken the exact config. lines from the XF86Config-4 file which worked fine in R5A12, and pasted them into the file, but they won't seem to work with R5A22. Below is the relevant section. Option "TwinView" "1" Option "TwinViewOrientation" "Clone" Option "ConnectedMonitor" "CRT, TV" Option "SecondMonitorHorizSync" "30-50" Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "60" Option "MetaModes" "800x600, 800x600; 800x600, 640x480; 640x480, 640x480" Option "MetaModes" "640x480, null; null, 640x480" Option "TVStandard" "NTSC-M" Option "TVOutFormat" "COMPOSITE" EndSection Without these lines, I get a perfect picture on my PC monitor. With these lines, get a "No screens found" error from X, and the log complains that my line 198 of my XF86Config-4 file is invalid. It claims the word "Option" is not a valid parameter. Huh? The lines worked just fine in R5A12. Can anyone lend any ideas? Thanks in advance. shplad |

Posting the exact error messages from your /var/log/XFree86.0.log would probably be helpful. You also don't provide enough context to let us verify that you've got those in the right section of your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4... |
