Hi friends: I want to echo the popular sentiment aroudn here that R5A22 rocks. Much easier/more thorough install, much fewer problems in general. Thank you Cecil and Dale and others! That being said, I'm having trouble getting R5A22 to shut down. When I go to the KnoppMyth "Shut off" Menu, and hit enter, the button highlights, but sometimes the machine does not shut down. It just hard locks on the screen showing the Shut off button, and I can't even connect via SSH. I don't want to have to keep powering off the machine, as God knows what that will do to my precious install. This only started when I installed R5A22-I never experienced this with R5A12. Can someone kindly suggest which logs I need to check to figure out what might be causing this? Could I have power management settings that need to be changed? It worked fine with R5A12-I didn't change any hardware settings since I installed the new version (clean install.) Thanks ahead of time. Shplad |
