I once had a doc explaining how to use the numeric pad in place of a mouse, but I cannot find it anymore. I am at the basic MythTV x-windows desktop (with the penguin sitting on the ouch watch Darius Rucker shake hands with a white guy) an I can't do anything from here. I did manage to Ctrl+Atl+F1 to get a terminal, but I never could figure out how to get back. All I could do it tell it to reboot. How do I get back to the x-windows desktop from here? It's sad this was my one full day to work on this, and I have spent all of my time trying to figure out how to overcome not having a mouse. |

Alt-Ctl-F1 goes to console 1. Alt-Ctl-F2 goes to console 2, and so on all the way up to console 7. Console 7 is the one running X windows. In the X windows environment, the window manager lets you: * Swap between windows using Alt-Tab * Start up mythfrontend using Alt-M * Start up mythtv-setup using Alt-S * Start up an X-term using Alt-X |

Is this what you were thinking of? See the section titled "Keyboard Mouse Control". My keyboard doesn't have the numeric section so I can't test it. http://freeware.sgi.com/Installable/Win ... .80.2.html |
