Here I sit, pondering how much more I can get out of my KnoppMyth setup. Currently, I have standard cable into the RF jack. So, I am wondering about putting another devicde (VCR, Tivo, whatever) into the composite video and audio line-in ports. I saw there is a button to switch which one the card listens to (C, I think). Could I assign a fictitious channel number also in mythtv-setup to the composite input to make it automatically switch over also? That would make it easy to also schedule events on the other input. |

Yes. But I don't think you'll be able to schedule 2 events at the same time. |

Yes, I figured there wouldn't be any simultaneous recording from the two sources. But good, I'll try that tonight. |

Hi, I give my composite a label of Video and assign it to channel 1 (set the freq id to 1 also) You can manually set up records with no issues. Only operating issue is when changing from channel 1, you have to select a valid channel that is < 10. Sort of like starting from a stop sign, you need low gear first ![]() Mike |

Well, I got this set up. I assigned the composite input on my second tuner card to channel 100. The only problem, though minor, is when I'm watching live tv on tuner 1, and select channel 100, it switches to the second tuner but doesn't change the input to composite. I have to select 100 a second time and then it works. The two cards have identical channel setups (regular cable, 2-98), so this channel 100 is only on the second tuner. I'll play with it some more, until I figure it all out. |
