I haven't done it with Knoppmyth/Debian, but I have had a 802.11g Broadcom card working with SUSE and ndiswrapper. |

KnoppMyth includes NDISwrapper. Why not post details? |

As Cesman says, ndiswrapper is already there. So you just need a copy of the windows drivers from the CD, then proceed from here: http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/mediawiki/index.php/InstallDebian#Installing_the_Windows_Driver This might also be useful: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8228 Look forward to your account ![]() |

Hi, I knew about the ndiswrapper but have not been successful finding the correct file for it to use. Since it is a dual boot figured, it would have been with the xp system (corp load so I don't have the cd). Ubuntu live cd pops it right in however I see nothing unique to the wireless. It shows me ipw2200 and a couple simular files which is the same as I have with lsmod in KM. It is like I am missing the on/off switch just to power it up. Once I get the pieces in place for it to work I will share the information. The Dell site wasn't very helpful to id which driver is for what card, two different names so with out the string to link who goes with who that isn't of any value. Thanks, I appreciate the ideas and we will get it going, as I say, miracles just take a bit longer ![]() Mike |

I did this on a Dell laptop - a D600. What do you have? This is the link to setting it up under SUSE: http://www.desktoplinux.com/articles/AT9133949670.html#Find_the_Windows_Driver |

Hi, I think kim_wong1 was in the forum? Broadcom is not the wireless interface. I have discovered it is the iwp2200. Sorry for going down the wrong path but on the + side, this is more promising ![]() Have a great day!. Mike |
