Hey if I remeber correctly, before R5B7 I could use the command Code: hdparm -E 8 /dev/hdc to slow down the cdrom but now it gives me this:Code: root@PVR:~# hdparm -E 8 /dev/hdc I tried the command on all the drive nodes and I tried taking out the disc, putting it back in, and playing it and nothing worked.
/dev/hdc: setting cdrom speed to 8 CDROM_SELECT_SPEED failed: Input/output error root@PVR:~# Also, if I can get this to work, how would I go about running this command everytime I play a divx disc? THANKS! |
